Sale of Suckled Calves at Hallworthy Stockyard
Kivells auctioneer Richard Dennis enjoyed a fantastic trade at Hallworthy on Tuesday 25 October 2011, with over 500 suckled calves going under the hammer.
Sunshine’s on Dingles
The 2011 Dingles Steam Sale saw a massive crowd of buyers in attendance at the West Devon site pushing the prices upwards to the £500 mark, with the nationally important collection of 260 implement (tractor and engine) seats on behalf of Mr William Northam, hitting a top of £1000 with plenty up and over the £500 mark.

No Smoke Without Fire on Dartmoor
Kivells & Husseys saw their first ever farm sale on Saturday (13 August 2011) with a massive crowd of potential buyers attending the dispersal at Smokey Cross Farm near Newton Abbot on the edge of Dartmoor.
Top call of the day was £5000 for a ‘G Reg’ Case tractor with a 4 x 4 Mule at £4700 with plenty of lots between £1500 - £2400.
In the sheep pens trade was off the clock with Cheviot x ewes to £127 and the best of the 130 April born lambs to £65.
Speaking after the sale Kivells and Husseys auctioneer Paul Heard said ‘It was a very special day with what felt like every farmer on Dartmoor in attendance. Trade was extremely strong for the sheep with a sale average of well over £100 for the ewes with many buyers not able to keep up with the prices given.’

Kivells auctioneers are delighted to announce that they will be holding the ‘Milky Way’ sale of farm machinery and equipment on Tuesday 28 June 2011.
Amongst the exciting entries one of the stars of the sale is a 2009 ‘Portequip’ mobile sheep dip, in mint condition (see video). Just as impressive is the line up of tractors led by a Ford 6610 complete with 3260 Quickie loader in good condition having done little work on farm and used as a third tractor. A Ford 3000 on a ’73 plate kicks off a small dispersal sale (owners having sold the farm) together with topper, rotavator etc from one North Cornwall farm. Added to this there are two quad bikes, four trailers (bale & tippers), 31/2 ton Fertilizer spreader, 20ft Hydraulic folding harrows and Cambridge rollers, West Mac bale wrapper, 2, 7ft twin drum mowers etc plus 150 lots of new hand tools and good from one North Devon outlet.
This sale is situated 5 miles from Bideford on the A39. The sale will commence at 6pm prompt.
