ENTRY FORM AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

ENTRIES

1. Market Auction Rooms, Underlane, Holsworthy, EX22 6BL.

2. Entries accepted on Friday afternoon 2-5pm (except sale week), or by appointment.
3. Goods can be collected by prior arrangement for a charge.
4. Storage prior to the auction is free of charge.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. All items for sale must be clearly labelled with vendor’s name and description entered on this form (with reserve prices if applicable). If insufficient space, please attach separate list, top copy should be returned to the Auctioneers.
2. All lots are entered at the vendor’s risk and become the responsibility of the purchaser at the fall of the hammer.
3. Entry forms returned 14 days prior to the sale will be eligible for free advertising of goods where appropriate. Entries after this date will be advertised if time and space permit.
4. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse any item and also reserve the right to limit the number of lots for sale or amalgamate lots where necessary. Items not conforming to Trading Standards Laws will not be acceptable for sale.
5. Any reserves must be written clearly against the entry. Minimum reserve £5.
6. Electrical goods will only be accepted if they are in good working order, any faults notified by the purchaser will be referred directly to the vendor, if they are reported within 24 hours of the sale. A safety test will be carried out at the cost of £3 per item + VAT @ 20%.
7. Commission will be charged at a rate of 20% for each lot up to £100, 15% for each lot over £100. Discounted commission available for regular vendors.
8. VAT @ 20% will be charged on commission.
9. There will be a minimum commission of £1 per lot and unsold lots will carry a charge of 50p. The minimum commission per statement will be £2.
10. Unsold reserves will be charged at 2.5% (no charge will be made where the auctioneer advises the reserve).
11. Due to the 1988 Fire Regulations no upholstered furniture manufactured between 1950 and 1988 can be accepted for sale. If manufactured after 1988, then the item must display a safety label.
12. All unsold items must be removed by the vendor within 7 days, lots left behind will incur a disposal fee.
