Secretary (maternity contract)
The role: Kivells are looking for a part time Secretary to cover a period of maternity leave and to support a Director/Rural Professional Land Agent based in the Launceston office. Potential for continued employment thereafter.
The candidate will have excellent customer service and communication skills, a methodical nature and the ability to work under pressure. Applicants need to be computer literate, have a fast and accurate typing speed, familiar with Microsoft Office, organised and have a professional telephone manner. In addition, the successful candidate will be bright, cheerful, willing to help, quick to learn as well as having the ability to use initiative and work confidently on their own or as part of a team.
Likely duties will include dealing with clients face to face and by telephone, audio typing, and undertaking various administration duties (such as formal document preparation and be able to research basic information). Occasional assistance towards other departments in this multi-discipline office may also be required from time to time.
Previous secretarial experience is an advantage. An interest/background in agricultural related matters would also be desirable.
Working Hours: Flexibility on days/hours will be considered to suit the needs of the individual/business. However, a minimum of three days is required.
A start date of beginning/mid-September is required.
