The monthly Machinery Sale here at Exeter saw another increase in entries with a reasonable crowd pushing prices past vendor’s expectations. M Vooght of Bovey Tracey entered a MF 390T which attained £10,000, with a Fleming Topper of the same farm reaching £1,320.

2nd June 2018

~ 2,341 Lots sold to a top call of £13,500 on a day when over 1,000 potential purchasers came to town ~

~ A sun drenched sale field on the outskirts of Coads Green near Callington in South East Cornwall was the setting for the dispersal of 400 lots of unreserved goods on behalf of the Cottam family as well as various neighbours from the local area ~

Kivells can be traced back to 1885 when William Thomas Kivell set himself up in business as an auctioneer and land agent, first in Pyworthy and then in Holsworthy. Kivells is organised around five divisions, Agricultural sales and auctions (including the 3 livestock markets at Holsworthy, Hallworthy and Exeter and on farm sales throughout the Westcountry). Farm, Residential and Commercial Property (covering sales and lettings).

23rd April 2018

The role: Kivells are looking for a full time Market Receptionist to cover a period of maternity leave at the busy Holsworthy Livestock Market. The successful candidate will work on reception together with undertaking administration for the agricultural department.

11th April 2018

A larger entry of machinery for our April sale at Exeter Livestock Centre, witnessed a good attendance of buyers enabling good prices to be achieved. A part dispersal sale from Alan and Kate Sims of Doddiscombsleigh saw a top of £11,800 for a 4345 MF Tractor and Loader, Gordon White of Coleford achieved £3,950 for a 2012 Polaris Ranger, a 410 Kawasaki realised £1,200, as did a Buffalo flatbed trailer from John French of Holne.

What a day! 4,192 lots went under the hammer on a day were 5 Kivells Auctioneers had to be at their very best to keep up with the bidding from approx. 1,000 potential buyers
