~ Kivells Auctioneers were delighted to conduct the dispersal of over 500 lots at West Lyn Farm, Lynton on the Devon/Somerset border ~
A fantastic line up of Tractors & Machinery saw a huge crowd of buyers in attendance from as far away as Northern Ireland, Birmingham, Wiltshire & West Cornwall. Leading the way was lot 202 being the 2010 John Deere 6330 reaching £29,100 going off to its new home near Tiverton.
The 25th Sale at Richard Sandercock’s Milford Fairground Heritage Centre took place on Saturday 21st October.
It was remarkable how cheerful everybody remained in the face pf appalling weather. The Car parking team did amazing work in safely parking the vehicles of the 1000 or so people who attended. It was fortunate most of the lots were under cover but nobody stayed in the dry when the big lots were to be sold!
A good crowd of buyers were in attendance for Folly Farm Sale both in person and on the telephone.

Kivells auctioneers had another busy week supporting charities and good causes with the highlight being the annual ‘Mary’s Supper’ raising money on behalf of Devon & Cornwall Air Ambulance at Trethorne near Launceston. Over 130 guests enjoyed the vintage machinery themed evening which raised over £2600 at the auction. Also on Saturday evening Kivells were at Kings Nympton Village Hall helping raise around £500 on the night.

Over 160 potential purchasers at Trecrogo farm sale in Cornwall saw the top call of the day being £4,500 for the Massey Ferguson going to Boyton, whilst the Case 1394 reached £2,300 and the International at £1,300.
The livestock trailer reached £1,350, whilst the best of the machinery hit £720 for the cattle weigh crush, £500 for the 4 furrow plough and £480 for the pick of the grass toppers.

Over 450 lots went under the hammer selling to a strong trade throughout the day. Top call was £7,800 given for the ’52 plate McCormick tractor (11,639hrs) going to its new home in West Devon whilst the ’03 McCormick reached £7,000 going to Somerset.
