The trade for the Dairy cattle is really starting to kick on with the best at Holsworthy on Wednesday reaching £2,250 for Messrs Webber of Drewsteignton with another 7 averaging over £2,000. All eyes turn to Exeter on Monday with 476 Dairy stock getting underway at 10:30am.

All roads lead to Holsworthy on Saturday with a massive entry of over 2,000 lots sold by a team of 3 Auctioneers. Vendors & Purchasers were present from as far afield as Wales, Dorset, Gloucestershire and all over the Westcountry to see 7 tractors, 24 trailers, 109 grassland/cultivating machinery, 400 poultry & 100 pigs sold on this highly successful day.
A huge week for Kivells customers with well over 1,500 beef animals sold to an overall top call of £1330.00 on behalf of Messrs Harvey of Kingsteignton. The first of the suckled Calf sales at Hallworthy on Thursday saw a top call of £710.00 for a 10 month old Aberdeen Angus x Steer on behalf of D.P. & J.M. Parsons of Lower Trussell.
A fantastic week in the pig pens which included the biggest entry of Cull Sows (134) in any livestock market within the UK in 2018!. Top call in the pig pens was £185 (x2) for the pick of 40 from Chris Down.
A massive week for Kivells Sheep customers saw over 4,300 Breeding sheep sell to a top call of £200 for Texel ewes for Messrs Greenslade with plenty of Stock Rams between £350 - £450 at Exeter, Hallworthy and Holsworthy
The biggest machinery sale conducted by Kivells in Cornwall this year saw a fantastic line up top at £49,500 with others at £40,000 and £34,000 on the same day.
Numbers and prices were strong at all 3 markets this week with Keith Rowell of Crockernwell topping at £1,428 with premium set at 207p/kg. Cull cows saw the very best reaching £1,339 for Messrs Smith & Son.
Big entries of sheep this week at Exeter, holsworthy & Hallworthy with the best Pedigree sheep to £630 and the best commercials to £135 for mules in from Ross & Emma Sizmur.
