Sheep everywhere! Top call of the week was £128 for the best of the breeding ewes from Jimmy Tucker of High Bickington. Top cull sheep to £104.50 for Messrs Keast & Partners

Another fantastic day at Holsworthy on Saturday with over 1,200 lots sold. Overall top call was £19,200 for the 2003 reg. New Holland tractor with the Deutz tractor close up at £16,500.

Kivells of Exeter saw a fantastic trade for prime cattle on Tuesday evening with the best to 225p/kg (£1,496) with others at 220p/kg in from Messrs Harvey of Hennock.

At Fowey, in South Cornwall on Saturday Kivells sold 470 round bales of haylage to a massive top call of £43 p/bale! Wheat straw (round) at Holsworthy on Wednesdasy reached £30 p/bale.

Big numbers of cattle have been in attendance at all 3 Kivells auctions this week with the best Simmentals (23mths) reaching £1,280 at Exeter on Friday for john Searle. At Hallworthy the best hit £1,100 and at Holsworthy on Wednesday the week’s top call was achieved by Messrs Axford hitting £1,364 with others from the same home at £1,355

The dispersal of machinery in Cornwall this week included the Polaris buggy which raced away to £6,000 with the pick of the sheep handling equipment reaching £2,950.
