Kivells Estate Agents are delighted to be supporting ‘Bude For Sale,’ a wonderful free local event taking place in Bude in January and February, showcasing historic artefacts from the local area.

The exhibition, hosted by The Castle Bude, Café, Galleries and Heritage Centre, will present documents donated by Kivells Estate Agents, who have been serving the local community since 1885. Some of the artefacts date as far back as the 1930s and 40s. Displays will include original sales posters, catalogues and photographs of houses, hotels and other buildings from Bude and the surrounding area.

Alongside items from Kivells, there will also be objects from the Castle archive to complement the exhibition.  ‘Bude for Sale’ will provide visitors with a fascinating insight into the history of public buildings, many of which no longer exist in their original form.

Heritage Development Officer Janine King said, “I am really excited about the exhibition. I think it will be really popular, especially with local people. We are grateful to Kivells for donating so many wonderful artefacts to the exhibition.”

The event will run from Saturday 18th January to Thursday 13th February at The Castle Bude, Galleries and Heritage Centre and entry is completely free of charge.
