Kivells collective property auction tops £1.5 million
Kivells kicked off the year of property auctions in impressive style with a record attendance in Launceston this month.
The February Collective Property Auction, the first of 6 collective auctions in 2020, was attended by over 200 people. Eager bidders purchased 11 of the 13 lots available with total sales coming in at over £1.5 million for the night. There was huge interest in the properties on the build up to the auction with bespoke marketing plans in place to maximise exposure.
There was a diverse selection of properties available including farms, land, commercial property and residential dwellings including detached property, bungalows and terraced houses.
The Old Coach House, a rare commercial opportunity in Bude, sold for 42% over its guide. Detached 2 bedroom bungalow Golan in Chilsworthy, sold for 40% over its guide and 24 Trebarwith Road, a 3 bedroom semi-detached property in Delabole, sold for 35% above its guide.
Kivells Area Manager, Sam Turner MNAEA, was thrilled with the performance, “Our collective property auctions have been a huge success over the last few years, and continue to go from strength-to-strength. We are delighted to have achieved some great outcomes for our clients. Our experienced staff were on hand to assist all evening and I am very proud of the fantastic team effort on such a successful evening.”
The next collective property auction will take place on Wednesday 1st April, with a number of lots already secured. Trenant Cross Cottage is being marketed by Kivells Liskeard, an imposing 3 bedroom detached property on the outskirts of Duloe with an auction guide price of £200,000. Also available is the Land at Trematon, approximately 2.12 acres of amenity land and woodland near Saltash selling off a guide of £20,000.
