Kivells Property and Professional Services are continuing their work with local charities this year with the announcement that their 2019 Charity Partners of the Year will be the Cornwall and Devon Air Ambulance.
Staff voted from a shortlist with the Air Ambulance coming out as a clear favourite. The wider Kivells business has supported the charity many times in the past and have even had to call on their incredible services at Holsworthy Market in recent years.
Preparations are now under way for staff from residential property offices in Bude, Callington, Holsworthy, Launceston and Liskeard to choose challenges and activities to raise funds for the vital south west emergency service. All money raised will be split equally between the two charities and help fund the amazing work they do.
Kivells Director Mark Bunt MRICS FAAV said, “We are delighted to be working with both the Cornwall and Devon air ambulance in 2019. Charity work is an important part of our business and to our people. The Air Ambulance is a vital emergency service to our local communities here in the south west.”
Steph Preston-Evans, Corporate Fundraising Officer for Cornwall Air Ambulance said, “Cornwall Air Ambulance is delighted to be selected as a chosen charity by Kivells for 2019, alongside Devon Air Ambulance. In 2018, the Cornwall Air Ambulance Crew attended to 1,105 missions, helping sick and injured people in need. These missions are only possible because of the support the charity receives from its supporters, including businesses such as Kivells. We look forward to working together to create a fantastic year of fundraising.”
Caroline Creer, Fundraising & Communications Director of Devon Air Ambulance said, “We would like to thank Kivells for choosing to support Devon Air Ambulance as one of their Charity partners in 2019. The support from businesses at the heart of the community truly does make a huge difference in raising the funds to help us keep saving lives across Devon.”
Cornwall Air Ambulance was the first air ambulance in the UK, and for over 30 years, it has been providing a vital helicopter emergency service to the community of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The highly-equipped aircraft flies at 140mph, and on average arrives on scene within 12 minutes of a 999 call, significantly reducing the time taken to get seriously ill patients the treatment they need - in hospital or on-scene.
