Kivells Property and Professional Services were delighted to present a cheque to the Bude and Stratton Cancer Research Committee this month after 12 months of fundraising activities for their 2018 charity partner.

Kivells staff resoundingly voted for Cancer Research UK as their Charity Partner of the Year, a reflection on the importance of the fantastic cause and how cancer affects so many lives. In total, £2,500 was raised following fundraising from staff across the Bude, Callington, Holsworthy, Launceston and Liskeard residential property offices. Staff raised money by completing the Liskeard Relay For Life, holding a quiz evening and holding cake sales and competitions across the year, as well as selling unity bands and through collections in local offices.

Kivells Area Manager, Sam Turner, said “We are delighted to have supported such a fantastic cause that affects so many of us. I would like to thank the staff for their efforts this year and we would like to thank our wonderful clients, business partners and our communities for supporting our fundraising activities. A special thanks goes to the Bude and Stratton Cancer Research Committee for their support across the year. The work they do is simply amazing and we are pleased to have supported them in their fundraising efforts for 2018.”

Mary Bromell, Treasurer of the Bude and Stratton Cancer Research UK Committee added, “It has been a great pleasure working with Kivells and we are very grateful for their generosity in money and time. Without people like this it would have been impossible to raise over £550,000 since we formed the committee. One day there will be a cure found.”
