Kivells success at first property auction of the year
Kivells followed up a hugely successful year of property auctions in 2018 with its first auction of 2019 at a packed auction room in Launceston.
2018 auctions saw £3,864,500 worth of properties sell, ranging from houses to bungalows, large farms and land to commercial buildings. The February auction, the first of 4 across 2019, was held at The Eagle House Hotel in Launceston, a larger venue than previous auctions to accommodate demand.
Bidders filled the room in anticipation for the diversity of properties on offer. All properties sold within or above their guide prices with Plashmill, a 3 bedroom detached character property and The Willows, a 3 bedroom detached bungalow, selling for a staggering £80,000 and £133,000 over their respective guide prices.
The auction was expertly conducted by Kivells Director and experienced auctioneer Simon Alford and attended by Kivells directors Mark Bunt and Thomas Rattray along with managers and staff from the residential and farms offices, to expertly guide vendors and bidders through the evening.
Kivells Area Manager, Sam Turner MNAEA, said, “We were delighted to hold our first property auction of the year at a wonderful new venue and to continue the huge success of 2018. We have witnessed the sales of some hugely successful lots tonight that have received interest from all areas of the country. We very much look forward to welcoming vendors and buyers to our future property auctions throughout 2019.”
Kivells next property auction will be held on Wednesday 1st May 2019. If you are thinking of selling your home, or wish to know more about our upcoming auctions, visit www.kivells.com to contact your local office and speak with our property professionals today.
