Staff from Kivells Liskeard office are taking on the ultimate challenge this summer to raise funds for charity partner of the year The Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Office Administrator Sara Harlock and Marketing Executive Richard Luscombe will be taking part in TrekFest - The Beacons, a 31 mile hike across the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. The gruelling challenge, a training ground for the SAS, takes place on the 6th July with Kivells hoping to raise as much as possible for the charity.

The challenge will be a huge test with challenging climbs and steep descents. The 50km route ventures to the summit of Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in southern Britain! Preparations and training are already underway.

Staff voted from a shortlist for both the Cornwall and Devon Air Ambulance to be the charity partners of the year. The wider Kivells business has supported the charity many times in the past and have even had to call on their incredible services at Holsworthy Market in recent years.

Kivells Marketing Executive Richard Luscombe can’t wait to take on the challenge and raise money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance New Heli Appeal, “The Cornwall Air Ambulance is a vital emergency service to the people of Cornwall and a charity which my Grandfather supported many times during his life. As soon as I read about this challenge I knew I had to do it, having previously completed 10k’s, marathons and a 24 hour relay for charity. Hopefully it inspires many people to donate to this fantastic cause.”

The New Heli Appeal will raise money to allow the Trust to purchase a new helicopter which will be faster, more powerful and have double the fuel range of the current aircraft, which crucially means the crew will be available to fly more missions and save more lives. Kivells recently became a ‘New Heli Hero’ by donating £100 to the fund and will have the Kivells name proudly displayed on the underside of the helicopter when it arrives in 2020.

You can donate to Sara, Richard and team Kivells via the following JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kivells-liskeard-trekfest or by visiting any of our offices in Bude, Callington, Exeter, Holsworthy, Launceston and Liskeard.

Thank you all in advance for your support.
