Kivells built on the success and tradition of holding property auctions by holding one of its most impressive auctions to date at a packed auction room in Launceston with bidders arriving from across the country.

A diverse range of lots were included in the auction from residential properties, agricultural buildings and land from across the region. All nine of the lots sold were within, above or well above their guide prices. Rumbullion Farmhouse, a five bedroom detached character residence, sold for £560,000, an impressive £85,000 over the guide price, to the visible delight of the vendor. The Old Barn at Treburgie, a converted 4 bedroom detached stone-built barn, sold for £450,000, an astonishing £150,000 above the auction guide.

The auction perfectly demonstrated the expertise of the Kivells team. Kivells Director, and experienced in-house auctioneer, Simon Alford conducted the proceedings. The auction was also attended by Kivells directors Mark Bunt and Thomas Rattray along with managers and staff from the residential and farms offices, to expertly guide vendors and bidders through the evening.

Kivells Area Manager, Sam Turner MNAEA, said, “I was delighted with the impressive attendance for this auction and it was fantastic to witness so many successful sales for our vendors. Kivells auctions have always been a great success and we are witnessing this method of sale proving extremely popular. We are already compiling some excellent lots for our forthcoming early summer auction and this is looking at being another very strong auction with more lots still being inviteded for this sale”

Kivells next property auction will be held on Wednesday 26th June 2019. If you are thinking of selling your home, or wish to know more about our upcoming auctions, visit to contact your local office and speak with our property professionals today.
