Kivells held a collectors auction at Holsworthy on 31st July with a coin section of 220 lots which included a 1829 sovereign selling at £440

Other whole sovereigns £205 to £240, a double at £400, 1679 crown £150, 1819 halfcrown £95, French 10 franc £85, 1832 USA half cent £55 and various silver £70. A collection of world banknotes sold at £160, a Mahon ten shilling at £65 and consecutive pound notes at £32,

Among a good selection of Military items a Japnese Kutana sword sold well above expectations at £245, a US rim fire revolver at £135 and percussion pistols at £50 each, pair of World War One medals and death plaque £140, Khedives star £85, Combat knife £80, 57 badges £90, German binoculars £95, Eddystone receiver £110, British tommy helmet £50, Seaforths kilt £80 and an inert German incendiary bomb at £105.

Books & paperwork included Weatherby & Sons general stud books at £105, 1923 Kelly’s directory of Cornwall £95, Ritson Robin Hood £65, 15 Regimental £70, The Flower Growers guide £60, Taxidermy £80. A single Bude postcard of Lifeboat Day 1907 sold at £95, 5 Northcott Mouth £48, 3 Thorn Cornwall views at £32, and 12 Friths at £28.

In the Model & Toys section 3 O gauge engines sold at £160, £300 & £230, railway figure at £130, Steiff family £50 and an Action Man & clothes at £65,
