Cornwall Council - Call for Sites

Farms & Land

The Call for Sites for Cornwall Council is currently open. This represents the first stage in the preparation of a new Cornwall Local Plan, which will set policies to guide new development across the County and allocate specific sites for development such as housing.

The Call for Sites is an invitation by the Council to landowners and developers to identify land as being available, suitable and deliverable for housing, employment or mixed-use developments. Submitted sites will then be assessed by the Council and could be selected for allocation in the new emerging Cornwall Local Plan.

Sites submitted during this Call for Sites process may be considered for allocation in the Local Plan and, therefore, developers and landowners with land on the edge of a large village or town in Cornwall are strongly advised to ensure that relevant sites are formally submitted for consideration.

The deadline for this Call for Sites is 31 December 2026.

If you would like to discuss the potential of your land and whether it could be a suitable candidate for submission via Cornwall’s Call for Sites then please do get in touch with Oliver Keates, our Head of Development Land and Planning Services, on 01409 253 275 or 07554 060 370.
