Kivells are delighted to announce the strengthening of their Development Land and Planning Department with the addition of Oliver Keates.
Oliver has joined us as a qualified Chartered Town Planner, with nearly 30 years of experience in the Housing and Development sector, having previously worked for both national and regional house builders specialising in strategic land promotion and development. Most recently, Oliver has also been involved in securing planning permissions and maximising land value for landowners.
Oliver heads up the department, covering the wider South West, with a particular focus on Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.
Oliver says, “The Government’s recently updated National Planning Policy has ambitious housing targets to accelerate housebuilding and deliver 1.5 million homes over the duration of the current Parliament. There has never been a greater need to identify new housing locations throughout the South West to meet this target. It’s a tremendously exciting and crucial time to be joining Kivells with their unrivalled knowledge and loyal, land-owning client base”.
Kivells Director, Mark Bromell, commented "This is an exciting development for Kivells. We take great pride in providing the highest level of expertise and service to our loyal clients and it was vital to bring in the right calibre of advisor to head up this department, ensuring landowners receive informed, strategic guidance that unlocks the full value of their land.
Oliver has a fantastic track record and will offer our clients the very best guidance from consultation to delivery - his experience is second to none. With the current housing demand in our region, the timing couldn’t be more appropriate to strengthen our capabilities and provide this unrivalled level of service.”
If you own land on the periphery of a large village or town that may be suitable for housing development, Oliver would be delighted to have an initial, no obligation, consultation with you. Contact him on 01409 253275 or email oliver.keates@kivells.com.
