Management and Feeding

The herd is milked through Herringbone Parlour. The herd is Cubicle Housed.

Herd Age

There are 50 milking heifers, 70 second, 56 third, 43 fourth, 32 fith plus calvers which demonstrates the longevity of the herd.

Calving Pattern

The Herd is all year round calving with the following pattern:

May-June (34), July-September (40), October-December (62)

January-March (42), April-May (22).

Herd Health

The herd is BVD free and vaccinated for IBR and Lepto. The herd is also Bluetongue vaccinated (15th June). All cows are screened negative for Johnes and the herd is quarterly tested.
