Kivells’ September auction saw land, residential property, development opportunities and commercial premises go under the hammer at Lifton Strawberry Fields in Devon, concluding a successful summer of auctions.
Maytor, a three-bedroom detached dorma bungalow in Callington, generated strong interest prior to auction, seeing the hammer fall at £254,000 against a guide of £200,000 - £220,000.
2.38 acres of land at Golant, Fowey sold for £50,000 against a guide of £30,000 - £35,000 and 7.55 acres at Trelakes, St. Stephens saw the hammer fall at £95,000, £30,000 above its guide.
Kivells' strong marketing campaigns were once again perfectly demonstrated when two lots sold prior to auction. The Beach Lodge in Westward Ho! sold for £160,000 against a guide of £125,000 and The Owl Barn, an agricultural barn with huge potential as a development site in Clawton, sold for £66,000 against a guide of £50,000.
Kivells Director Sam Turner MNAEA commented, ‘I am once again delighted with the results that have been achieved for our clients. Kivells auctions continue to generate national and international interest, with bespoke marketing and our expertise.
I look forward to a busy autumn of auctions after what has been a great summer for our auction vendors.’
