The Government has recently published new draft National Planning Policy which proposes further policies to help boost housebuilding in England. The proposed policy changes would further reinforce the Government’s significant revamp of the planning system with stronger support for housing which ambitiously seeks 1.5 million new homes over the current Parliament. This policy document is out for consultation until 10 March.
Additionally, this hopes to simplify the planning process in areas such as affordable housing and rewilding. There is also help to ensure the successful implementation of these proposed changes to planning with the Government providing additional funding for Local Planning Authorities and support for small and medium-sized housebuilders.
If you own land on the edge of a large village or town and wish to discuss these planning reforms, our Head of Development Land & Planning Oliver would be delighted to hear from you – 07554 060 370.
